About this manual

This manual describes the UML suite Browser, diagram editors, Check utility, Reports and Class Browser. It is useful for all UML suite users because it describes the core features of the product.

Prerequisites

This manual assumes that you are familiar with the following products and concepts:

• The operating system you are using. For more information, refer to your operating system documentation.
• The Unified Modeling Language (UML) for Object-Oriented Development, as developed by Grady Booch, Ivar Jacobson, and James Rumbaugh, or the Object Modeling Technique (OMT), as developed by James Rumbaugh et al.
• The basic operation of the UML suite, as presented in The UML Suite Tutorial.
